Active Shooter Event for Dispatch
The Dispatcher's Role in Active Shooter Events
Active shooter incidents have once again been on the rise in America. These events can occur anywhere at anytime. Since we cannot always stop them from happening, the next best thing is to prepare to handle them so we can help end them as soon as possible.
This course is for you if:
- You want to learn or review what questions to ask and information to get in an active shooter situation.
- You want to learn or review how to best dispatch out this type of call.
- You want to think about considerations your agency should make or think about before this type of event occurs.
We do not rise to what happens, but rather we fall back on the training we've had, so if you want to raise your performance you have to increase your training.

"Great training. the necessary questions to ask are helpful, and learned initial responders are there to stop the shooter not aid the injured."
